A More Detailed Description

If you would like to make an order send us your shipping address and telephone number* along with the list of items that you would like to purchase. We will then send you a quote/invoice for you to inspect (can take up to 2 business days due to time zone differences). If you agree to the terms, just let us know and we will send a PayPal payment request to complete the transaction. Please note that you do not need a PayPal account to make a payment through PayPal; they accept most credit cards.

Handling of orders takes approximately 1 week for DoMo or Uo-Chikyu products and 2-4 weeks** for Gotoh products. Shipments are sent via Japan Post's fast and secure EMS service (4 business days to most locations, with tracking).

* EMS shipping requires a telephone number. We can't ship from Japan without one.

** Gotoh products are generally manufactured to order. This generally takes just a few weeks but we are unable to guarantee an exact shipping schedule ahead of time.

*** Most Uo-Chikyu and some DoMo products ship from Canada. Most DoMo and almost all Gotoh products ship from Japan.

We ship orders from Japan via Japan Post's fast and secure EMS service. The shipping cost varies by product weight and delivery location. There are three primary zones: Asia; North and Central America, Europe, Oceania, and the Middle East; South America and Africa. EMS is fast, efficient, and for what you get it's inexpensive. It's what we use when we have our suppliers ship products to us.

EMS shipping is fully insured and trackable online via the Japan Post website and (in most cases) the tracking website for your country's postal service.

Please note that shipping from Japan means that you are importing goods from Japan into your country. We do not handle any customs delays or charges.

We normally ship orders from Canada via Canada Post. Most small and inexpensive items (especially Uo-Chikyu nut file sets) can be shipped in bubble envelopes by regular letter mail. It's often surprisingly quick. For larger and more expensive items we prefer to ship Expedited (for the insurance and tracking) or Xpresspost.

American customers should be aware that most guitar parts fall under free trade agreements and do not require any duties to be paid when crossing from Canada to the USA.
