Japarts Pre-Assembled Sets

We noticed that there was a lot of potential for sets of nut files that actually match up with the strings being put on guitars. That's why we did a little research and have come up with a number of pre-assembled nut file sets that will allow you to get a perfect fit for the strings that you put on your instruments!

These pre-assembled sets are collections of individual files that each come with their own vinyl case.

Please note that - much like strings - there is a tolerance for the files' thickness and they will not necessarily be exact. Also keep in mind that the slot created by a file will usually be slightly larger than the file itself.

Important Usage Tips

For the thinner nut files (0.009" - 0.020") we recommend taking extra care. Although Hiroshima Files makes an exceptional and durable product, they're still thin pieces of metal and can be damaged during use. To reduce the chances of damage and to extend the life of the product you can take the following steps:

  1. Use lubricant (oil) on the edge of the file to reduce friction and lateral pressure
  2. Hold the file between two small strips of wood (or similar) to decrease flex
