Over time the torque of STEALTH-key gears may decrease, resulting in slippage and/or backlash. If this is the case, please use these instructions to increase the torque for better usage.

Please note that these instructions do not apply to STEALTH keys with the discontinued SB6 buttons. Refer to the printed instructions in that case.

Gotoh STEALTH-key torque adjustment steps
  1. Remove the button screw using a Phillips-head screwdriver.
  2. Remove the nut-fixing screw using a flat-head screwdriver*.
  3. Turn the torque-adjusting nut using a flat-head screwdriver* to produce a suitable amount of torque.
  4. Insert the nut-fixing screw until it touches the torque-adjusting nut .
  5. Tighten the nut-fixing screw to lock the torque-adjusting nut .
  6. Insert the button screw and tighten until the button is firmly fixed.

* CAUTION: Use max. 2mm diameter flat-head screwdriver.
